Platlet-riched plasma (PRP) contains proteins, including growth factors and cytokines. These proteins are essential in the repair of tissue. PRP is retrieved by collecting blood through a venipuncture and is then spun into a centrifuge. During a microneedling treatment with PRP reintroduces the persons own collagen into the dermal layer to induce cell proliferation.
